Entering the temple with new found bravery and vigor this group believes they are ready for anything. Having confronted many great enemies, surely they have the strength, but do they have the wit?

The group entered the dark temple and find themselves in seemingly endless and long hallways noticing strange symbols upon the ground. As they venture deeper into the temple, eerie silence surrounds them. Suddenly, they stumble upon a ghost and quickly handle it, but they also notice more symbols upon the ground. As they continue on, they find seemingly random planks in the floor.

As they explore, they come across a very dark hallway and continue on with fearless curiosity. By the faint light of their torches, they finally notice the same strange symbols but now upon the walls. They start touching the symbols randomly, hoping for something to happen. Aside from a small light show, nothing occurs.

The group decides to backtrack and sets fire to earlier found wood. They find more patterns on the walls and continue to tap at them randomly. After avoiding all other enemies, the group finally taps a group of wall symbols in just the right way to open a secret door.

As they enter the secret room, they see Master Oogway kneeling at a sepulcher chanting continuously. As he notices the group, he asks for the spectral essence, but the group hesitates, unsure of whether to trust this long-time mentor they had looked up to for the entirety of their lives. They waste an incredible amount of time, in no position to leverage any other outcome other than giving Oogway what he had requested of them several sessions prior.

All the while, Oogway attempts to temper their doubts, noting that without the essence, everyone in the room would surely die from whatever evil was in the creepy sepulcher. The room grows more and more eerie, with blackness covering everything but the area around Oogway, and dark voices barely audible in the back of everyone’s mind. Oogway does his best to contain the rumbling and cracking sepulcher.

Archie contemplates interrupting Oogway’s chants, completely ignoring the ominous environment and Oogway’s clear warnings that if he lost focus, whatever was in the sepulcher would get out and kill everyone terribly. After a very painful amount of time, they eventually give Oogway the spectral essence, which immediately quells the ominous evil environment, the evil whispers, and the shaking and cracking sepulcher.

Oogway relaxes and thanks the group, only slightly wondering why his lifelong students who had never doubted his ways prior would attempt to thwart his efforts to contain the evil that surrounded them. They finally have a moment to talk and discuss the chaos when Oogway reveals that he sent Master Splinter to safety, fearing he would not be able to face what must be done to his brother, Master Saki. But Master Splinter left a package that perhaps the group could find useful.

The moment of peace doesn’t last long and is quickly spoiled by a sudden explosion of the sepulcher, with a large menacing figure emerging. The group notices the figure easily overcoming Oogway, the most powerful tortle they’ve ever known, and thinks to themselves that they might be able to take it on.

Oogway pleads with them that escape is the only way and to quickly enter the water crafts to get to safety and find Master Splinter. They decide to slowly make for the escape, begrudgingly trying to get Oogway to go with them even though they clearly see there is no room. The figure grabs Oogway before he could get far.

Oogway looks at the group, pleading one last time to get out before raising a beautifully crafted javelin and cramming it as hard as he could into the gleaming metal armor of Master Saki while yelling “thunderstruck.” As a crackling and blinding electrical pulse continued to blast from Oogway and Master Saki, the group eventually gets to the escape, with no knowledge of where it will take them.
