After traveling for an unknown amount of time, the group suddenly crashes, their watercraft shattering in pieces. The crash caused the group members to scatter, and some of them even lost consciousness. Giambi and Archie were knocked unconscious, while Bowser and Snaps were left dazed and unarmed, noticing they were surrounded by seven unknown and menacing creatures.
Snaps made a quick decision to leap up and fight the creatures, shooting an ice knife in their direction. Although the spell missed, it exploded within range, waking both Giambi and Archie. Unfortunately, several of the creatures began to run off with Archie and Giambi in tow. Snaps focused on them, while Bowser, nearly escaping death by one of the creatures, began looking for his weapons with Giambi on the beach.
The creatures summoned mist and began to take off, leaping great distances and teleporting even further. Now blinded by the mist, Snaps began attacking anything he could find, while Bowser and Giambi continued searching throughout the beach.
Sadly, the creatures managed to escape with Archie, who was doing all he could to escape. The creatures began to lose patience and started to beat upon the tortle senselessly, taking turns smashing their weapons into him until he finally fell motionless. The rest of the group, also beaten and battered, went looking for safety as the mist dissipated.
After finding their way to a road, they came upon a new group of human-like creatures who were wary but far less aggressive than the other creatures on the beach. With a short escort in the carriage back into a nearby city, both Snaps and Bowser found themselves in a prison, with Giambi alone in the wilderness attempting to follow the carriages, which, of course, were much faster and got away quite fast.
Within the prison, Snaps and Bowser almost instantly gave up all the information they possibly could have to this new unknown group. However, this new group only grew more confused as they couldn’t quite locate where the islands of Teratuga were. All their maps of the seas, which were very well charted, showed no islands from where the tortles were describing.
